DESCRIPTION
A coating thickness gauge is a specialized instrument used to accurately measure the thickness of surface coatings (such as paints, electroplating layers, and anti-corrosion layers) on materials. Using non-destructive testing techniques such as magnetic induction, eddy current, ultrasound, or optics, it quickly determines the thickness difference between the coating and the substrate, ensuring compliance with industrial standards and process requirements.
